PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1st Jan 2023 – 9th May 2024 (1.5 years) / Chief Officer - Submarine Pilot on Private M/Y Milele, 45 m / 499 GT / Royal Hakvoort Shipyard, build in 2023
This beautiful Dutch new build 45 m motor yacht went finally on water in the beginning of 2023. I was with the project from the final stage of her amazing build that even get a submarine on board from Nederlands brand U-boat Worx. How many 45m M/Y’s got a sub on board? I don't know any! This very unique vessel got a semi hybrid systems and presented to her owner after final delivery from Nederlands. With Crew of 9, we deliver her to the MED and make a lots of dives with the sub. Being pilot of U-boat (Nemo 2 series) as well as the C/O very challenging and yet enjoyable experience.
1st Jan 2022 – 15th December 2022 (1 year ) / Chief Officer on Charter M/Y Christina O, 99 m / 1802 GT / Canadian Vickers, build in 1943
This commercial 100 m motor Yacht with historic name and
probably the very first mega yacht in her time. She went on to host a wealth of
illustrious guests, ranging from Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra to John F
Kennedy and Winston Churchill. I’ve joined the rotational position (2:2)
as a Chief Officer and operate with 40 crew on board. Apart from single cabin
and personal working cabin I should say it’s
very old fashion vessel and unfortunately lots of safety being compromised due
to her old age. Life boat being launched only during Flag inspection…This lack
of safety culture on board and the low budget compromised the safety lead to my
decision the leave the vessel for the future prospective.
21st July 2021 – 27th December 2021 (6 months) / Chief Officer on Private M/Y Oceanbird, 53m / 499 GT / Sanlorenzo, build in 2021
Speaking of employment this was as quick as possible and after a short phone call first original Captain Hans confirmed my employment straight on. The new build project of Oceanbird is strictly confidential and not much I can share. Its lots we've survived! We were on the rush and the pressure was significant to make the vessel up and running, making it ready for the season. I've been the 2nd original crew member employed straight after Captain and we form the crew, procedures, changed the flag from Italian to Cayman and finalize the final purchase for her German owners. All was on the rush and we started from scratch. I've done implementation of mini ISM on board later on as we go. This vessel with 12 multinational crew, navigated in the Western Med. Paperless bridge, full ECDIS, paperwork managed via FLY online. Few times was in charge as a Captain and has a drive time. I've done both bridge and deck management and carry out safety culture on board. Since day one as the owners step on board till the end of season 2021 we've got quite a crew turnover (36 crew in total left due to the exhaustion and enormous hours of work, 4 ended up in the sick leave condition). This however didn't break me up as a C/O and I was lucky to carry on till the end of the season. During the winter time - full scale warranty jobs / refit. Current Captain Nick wishes me all the best.
26th Jan 2021 – 27th Apr 2021 (3 months) / Relief Chief Officer Charter M/Y St David, 60 m / 969 GT / Benetti, build in 2008
I've been shortlisted and approved by Bluewaters Antibes for M/Y St David - a 60m custom motor yacht, built in 2008 by Benetti and last refitted in 2019. She is commercially registered IoM flag vessel with 14 multinational crew in total. We stay moored in Genoa, Italy and carry out winter works during the whole period of my service as a Relief Chief Officer. There was a planned charters but they all been cancelled. We've maintained the short crew. Despite normal routine with bridge commercial paperwork I was very active on deck maintenance, LSA/FFE checks and drills, carry out ISM/ISPS/MLC administration as there no other deck officers on board and most of my time I was running vessel along with Ch Eng as the Captain was on vacation. The vessel under Bluewaters Management and running the cloud based app called „BM‟ (similar to manage my Fleet) where all paperwork has been maintained. We've got few charter viewings on board with positive feedback. Then Captain left and new Captain arrived shortly prior to my resignation date. I've completed handover to the new C/O and disembark on 27th of April 2021.
08th Nov 2019 – 23rd Dec 2020 (1 year 1 month ) / Chief Officer / Private M/Y Olmida, 50 m / 613 GT / Codecasa, build in 2004
M/Y Olmida is a 50 m Codecasa yacht built in 2004. She is privately registered Cayman Islands vessel with 11 multinational crew in total. We stay moored and carry out winter works during the whole period of my service as a Chief Officer. Despite normal routine with bridge paperwork I was very active on deck maintenance such as AWLGRIP spray / roll and tip painting, varnishing wooden surfaces and teak deck repairs, making the yacht ready for upcoming Western Med season 2020. This however postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic and as such owner reduced the crew, so do my contract just on the end of 2020. As the vessel for sale in late 2020 we've done few trips for buyers. It’s still remaining for sale and the future of the remaining crew is uncertain. As my SEA has been terminated I’m available ASAP for the new responsible role
2nd May 2019 – 25th Sep 2019 (5 months) / Chief Officer / Private M/Y Latona, 50 m / 498 GT / CRN, 2018
I’ve been employed as the Chief Officer of these new build very busy program private spectacles M/Y Latona. 9 multinational crew in total, 2 Engineers on rotation. It’s been never available for any other ship-owner before, sailing mainly in Western Med. In Monaco MYS 2018 CRN presented her well and carried out open days. As the C/O I was responsible for all bridge paperwork, safety, creation of mini ISM and Muster List, supervision and management After Sales & CRN Warranty period on board, keeping track on Deck Warranty issues, creation and modification of comms in the supervision of technical issues as well as water toys activities and daily maintenance. Since I step on board till the end of the season was kind of non-stop itinerary (Italy, Tunisia, all Balearic Islands / Spain, France and Monaco) and heavy use by 2 rotating ship-owners, crew got limited time for rest so the load has been significant. As soon as the season is finished the crew is decreased to bear minimum. Finish my SEA and pass all in good and professional order, completed handover.
1st Apr 2019 – 02nd Apr 2019 (2 days delivery) / OOW / Private M/Y White Rose of Drachs, 65 m / 1643 GT / Kusch Yachts, 2004

3rd Jul 2014 - 1st Sep 2014 (1 month, 30 days) / Captain / M/Y Regulus (ex Larissa), 40 m / 286 GT / Sunseeker Predator, 2010
As mentioned below, I organized the purchase of M/Y Larissa for a Russian owner, as he wanted to grow up in size. For tax free, we organized a purchase agreement between the buyer and seller in international waters (12 nm offshore from France) via a broker from Camper & Nicholsons Monaco and Captain Robert Hickman pass over the yacht in my command on 3rd of July 2014 by new Ownership. I delivered her to Tunisia from the French Riviera to complete her sale and changed the name, certification and passed the annual Flag/RINA surveyor. With a crew of 4, we traveled from Tunisia to Malta and onto Sicily. In Sicily however the boat had several technical issues. I immediately organized service with “Sunseeker Malta”. I finished the season soon after completing all paperwork for the shipyard period. I left
the boat for better and decided to grow up in size.

My previous owner from M/Y Black Hawk, who fell in love with Sunseeker Predator gave me the task to organize a report for him regarding all Sunseeker Predator’s which were available on the market for sale around the globe. After 6 months of visits and a boat show in Ford Lauderdale USA, we eventually found a Sunseeker Predator 130’ in Camper & Nicholsons, which he accepted. From 18th of June I was already in Golfe Juan and prepared the yacht for sale and made day to day visits with the Chief Stewardess and communicated with Captain Robert. We left the Golfe Juan on 2nd July and made the final act of purchase.
1st Apr 2014 - 1st Jun 2014 (2 months, 1 day) / Captain / M/Y Jubilee, 24 m / 70 GT / Custom by naval architect William Garden, 1999
This boat was designed by the well regarded naval architect, William Garden. It was built in a private shipyard in 1999, USA. The hull is steel and it’s a full displacement. On board this vessel I took the position of Captain. The owner wanted to deliver her from San Francisco to Port Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in the Russian Federation, where they planned to use it for research. As it’s a huge Pacific Ocean passage of over 5 000 nm, with 650 hours underway, the preparations started 4 months in advance. We divided the passages by 3 parts as we took a North Pacific route along US West coast, Canada, Alaska, Aleutians Islands, Bering Sea and then Russian waters. The 2nd part was along the US West coast, Canada, Alaska and finished in the Kodiak Island. It was a total crew 4. We regularly faced magnetic anomalies and fog banks, 10 kn tidal streams. This gave me a lot of experience as a Captain in difficult situations. Straight after arrival I flew from US to France, as the previous owner from M/Y Black Hawk accepted an offer to buy a new Sunseeker and offered me a new short contract.
24th Jul 2013 - 1st Jan 2014 (5 months, 9 days) / Relief Captain / M/Y Black Hawk , 20 m / 35 GT / Sunseeker Predator 64’, 2012
New Black Hawk, built by Sunseeker International in UK cruised extensively within the east Mediterranean and Black Sea, mainly in Turkish waters. I was given the task to organize a busy schedule for the Russian owner. Meanwhile the main Captain was on vacation, I replaced him and ran the boat in a safe manner. I had a crew of 3. We took day trips around Marmaris and nearby. By the end of the season my work was involved more in paperwork as my owner requested to find a new Sunseeker and put the current Sunseeker for sale.
